Days 2 and 3 – Report

Korea finished on top of the medal count at Moscow 2018 Grand Prix after managing to win 1 gold medal each competition day to make a total of 3 and reign over the second most succesful country, Russia, who reached a total of 2 titles in the event.

So-hui Kim was the Korean athlete to taste glory on Sunday after defeating Tomic from Croatia in the big final of the Women’s -49 kg draw by a clear 29-15, while Jun Jang was the Korean hero on Saturday after becoming the Men’s -58 kg champion thanks to its victory over Hadipour from Iran by withdrawal in the crucial fight of the draw.

On the other hand, the second Russian athlete to step on the top of the podium in Moscow last weekend was Maksim Khramtcov, who proved to be the strongest competitor in the Men’s -80 kg division after getting rid of Elsharabaty from Jordan by a comfortable 29-11 score.

Day 1 – Report

Croatia, Korea and Russia were the countries to step on top of the podium at the Moscow 2018 Grand Prix, which kicked off on Friday in the Russian capital with 3 categories in competition.

In Women’s -67 kg, Matea Jelic from Croatia proved to be the strongest fighter after defating Lauren Williams from Great Britain in the final round of the draw by a close 20-17. Alexey Denisenko gave the local spectators their first big joy of the event after he beat Bradley Sinden from Great Britain by 22-13 to become the Men’s -68 kg champion. The other title of the day was taken by Kyo-don In, who dominated the Men’s +80 kg division after getting rid of Trajkovic from Slovenia by a clear 13-5.

8기준올림픽랭킹 2김소희는로마그랑프리에이어이번대회우승으로그랑프리통산번째우승과함께랭킹포인트 40점을챙겼고, 2020 도쿄올림픽자동출전권을향한발걸음을재촉했다.

 

 

 

12(현지시각), 러시아모스크바시에스카농구장(USK CSKA Basketball Arena)‘모스크바 2018 월드태권도그랑프리(Moscow 2018 World Taekwondo Grand Prix) 3일간의일정이막을내렸다.

 

 

 

대회마지막, 여자49kg급에출전한김소희는영리한경기운영으로상대들을제압했다.

 

 

 

16강전서는로마그랑프리결승전서누른있는브라질의탈리스카레이스(Talisca REIS)상대로 3회전몸통과머리득점을쏟아내며 12 2승리했다.

 

이어 8강전서는러시아의빅토리아바쉬키로바(Victoriya BASHKIROVA)상대로 1회전에만몸통과머리포함 16점을쏟아내며쉽게승부를풀어내 28 7점수차승을거두고준결승진출했다.

 

 

 

준결승서는심재영(고양시청)맞아 18 12승리하고결승전에올랐다.

 

 

 

결승전상대는지난해무주세계선수권여자49kg급서 3위에오른있는크로아티아의크리스티나토미치(Kristina TOMIC).

 

 

 

김소희는크리스티나토미치의주무기인왼발공격을노련한경기운영으로꽁꽁묶어버렸다.

 

 

 

1회전서오른발몸통공격으로선취점을얻어낸김소희는추가몸통득점을쌓으며 6 0으로앞서나갔다.

 

 

 

이어 2회전서는특유의접근전왼발머리내려차기공격을성공시키며점수차를벌려 19 2승부의쐐기를박았다.

 

 

 

3회전서크리스티나토미치가막판추격을시도했지만김소희는꾸준히몸통득점과감점을뽑아내며최종스코어 29 15우승을확정 지었다.

 

 

 

김소희는“지난로마그랑프리에이어올해번째우승을했지만여기서만족하지않고앞으로남은그랑프리에서도끝까지최선을다하겠다”고우승소감을밝혔다.

 

덧붙여“도쿄올림픽자동출전권을따기위해고비도있을것이고, 밑에서올라오는후배들도있지만역시치열하게준비할것이다”라며올림픽 2연패에대한강한의지를드러냈다.

 

 

 

남자80kg급서는러시아의막심크람소프(Maksim KHRAMTCOV)결승전서요르단의살레흐엘샤라바티(Saleh ELSHARABATY) 29 11누르고금메달을목에걸었다.

 

 

 

체급에출전한김훈(삼성에스원) 8강전서크로아티아의토니카나엣(Toni KANAET)에게 4 14패했다.

 

 

 

대회마지막김소희가금메달, 심재영이동메달을추가하면서한국은이번대회서 3, 2개를획득했다.

 

 

 

다음그랑프리는오는 9 19일부터 3일간대만타오위안에서열린다.
