– 1,480 Participants Fill Pyeongtaek International University Gymnasium with Passion and Spirit… Widely Praised as a High-Caliber Taekwondo Event

The 3rd WORLD CUP National Taekwondo Championships, hosted by the World Sports Committee (Chairman Hyun-Seok Seo) and organized by the WORLD CUP Organizing Committee, concluded successfully amidst great enthusiasm at the Changjogwan Gymnasium of Pyeongtaek International University.

The event attracted 1,480 athletes from across the country, transforming the venue into a vibrant arena of competition, showcasing the intense dedication and refined skills of Korea’s emerging Taekwondo talents. Participants, coaches, and parents alike lauded the tournament as a “highly dignified and well-organized event.”

Remarks from President Hyun-Suk Seo 

President Hyun-Seok Seo expressed his deep appreciation, stating:

“I extend my sincere gratitude to all the athletes, coaches, and parents who participated in this meaningful event. I would also like to acknowledge the tireless efforts of our referees, officials from the competition, awards, operations, and medical committees, who ensured the smooth execution of this large-scale tournament. My heartfelt thanks also go to Professor Ki-Se Lee, Dean at Pyeongtaek International University, and Professor Sun-Taek Gong, for their generous support in providing the venue.”

Building on the momentum of this successful event, the Committee is now fully focused on preparing for the upcoming 2025 Seoul Cup International Open Taekwondo Championships, scheduled for June. Now in its 6th edition, the Seoul Cup continues to attract strong interest from both domestic and international Taekwondo communities.

Registration is open until Saturday, May 31.

위원회는 이번 대회의 성공을 바탕으로 오는 6월 개최 예정인 『2025 서울컵 국제오픈태권도대회』 준비에 박차를 가하고 있다.

올해로 6회째를 맞는 서울컵은 국내외 태권도 관계자들의 많은 관심을 받고 있으며,

참가신청은 5월 31일(토)까지 접수 가능하다.
