Zaiqing and Sithole were amazed by the high standards of Taekwondowon, and stated that they hadn’t seen any similar facilities focused in a particular Olympic sport only before.
After having breakfast with the recently reelected President of the World Taekwondo, Chungwon Choue, both IOC members visited the Taekwondo Promotion Foundation (TPF) office at Taekwondowon.
There, they met with its President, Sung-tae Kim to discuss the upcoming plans of the organization and its involvement with Taekwondowon.
After the meeting, they were accompanied by Mr Kim to see some of the facilities of Taekwondowon, in which students of Taekwondo performed at a very high level to show their skills to the authorities.

Mr Zaiqing and Mr Sithole also visited the Taekwondo National Musuem at Taekwondowon, where they were invited to leave their handprints as a souvenir of their visit.
This visit is yet another step from Taekwondo to become a permanent sport within the Olympic movement, which the WTF hopes it will remain beyond Tokyo 2020.
