On August 30th at 3 p.m., Gyeonggi-do Taekwondo Association (following: GTA) donated Taekwondo supplies to Zimbabwe, Africa. Including the president of GTA Kim Gyung-Duk, members of the association and officials such as the regular vice president Hwang In-Sik, the administration vice president Lim jong-nam, the director of planning Lee young-sun, and the secretary general Kim Pyeong encouraged Lee Gyeong-Ho, the chief of Suwon headquarter in International Youth Fellowship, and other officials; they had the ceremony of delivering Taekwondo supplies at conference room in the main building on the 3rd floor. In this spot, the president Kim Gyeong-Deok said, "By supporting Taekwondo uniforms, guards, and competition mitts as the aid business for Taekwondo activation toward underdeveloped nations that is one of the businesses of GTA and Gyeong-gi Taekwondo Foundation, Korean culture will be known well with keeping the health if people train Taekwondo which is both Korean typical martial art brand and national martial art of Korea.

GTA has done various international exchanges for globalization, however, it considers the aid business as one of globalization businesses; the association also has a policy that it will improve the donation culture spirit of 300 hundred thousand members and continuously develop the business by gathering wisdom of members in subsidiary cities and provinces.

30일 오후 3시, 경기도태권도협회가 아프리카 짐바브웨에 태권도용품을 기증했다. 김경덕 경기도태권도협회장을 비롯해 황인식 상임부회장, 임종남 행정부회장, 이영선 기획이사, 김평 사무국장 등 협회 임원 및 관계자들이 본 회 3층 회의실에서 국제청소년연합 이경호 수원본부장과 관계자들을 격려하고 태권도용품 전달식을 가졌다. 이 자리에서 김경덕 회장은 “경기도태권도협회와 경태재단의 사업의 일환인 저개발국가 태권도 활성화 지원 사업으로 태권도복, 보호대, 겨루기미트 등을 지원함으로서 국기(國技)이자 우리나라의 대표 무예 브랜드인 태권도를 수련하면 건강도 지키며 한국문화도 제대로 알게 될 것”이라고 말했다.

경기도태권도협회는 국제화를 위한 다양한 국제교류를 하고 있지만 이런 사업도 하나의 국제화 사업의 일환으로서 30만 회원들의 기부문화 정신을 제고하고 향후 이런 사업을 산하 시도회원들의 중지를 모아 지속적으로 전개한다는 방침이다.
