G.M Lee Dong-sup has been appointed as an advisory of WTU

Last November, WTU has selected Assemblyman Lee dong-sup as consultant, who puts effort for development of national sport, Taekwondo at national assembly.

Assemblyman Lee is a official 9th-dan in Kukkiwon. As he is well aware of all the Taekwondo people, he entered the National Assembly and examined the trajectory of Taekwondo as a representative culture of Korea. He also made efforts to improve the national image and to improve some national problems in domestic and abroad. He struggled with the editorial department whenever he had the opportunity.

 
In addition, for the development of Taekwondo, on September 1, 75 members of active assemblymen (currently 80 members) joined the first National Assembly registered corporation federation, "National Assemblyman Taekwondo Federation".

The purpose of the creation of Assemblyman Lee's is to recognize the importance of the national sport Taekwondo at the National Assembly level and to prepare policies and policies for fostering and supporting Taekwondo in order to promote the promotion of Taekwondo and globalization. It is for revival of Taekwondo.

In addition, Lee has aim to recruit members of each country as a member of the Federation, to develop the Taekwondo Federation of the National Assembly as an international federation, to inform the value of Taekwondo and to lead the Olympic permanent event. Also through Diplomatic Service, they visited Sao Paulo, Panama, Costa Rica, Austria and Switzerland embassy and already asked to hold Taekwondo competition. In the future, they will visit more countries and plan to pursue more aggressive action.

For now, they already agreed meeting time with 9 interested people of IOC members of Chang-ung, North-Korea, Grace Ding, Singapore, Japan, China, South Africa and Brazil. 
In fact, Assemblyman Lee has a fast-paced plan to visit Washington, New York and Mexico with some Assemblymen and 25 demonstration members of National Assembly Taekwondo Federation and will meet with the members of the upper and lower assemblymen of each country, masters and IOC members of visiting countries.

      
Meanwhile, the WTU should gently respect and gather the opinions of 20 consultants of existing Taekwondo including Assemblyman Lee and should be more strive for duties as handwriting introductory paper.

             이동섭 국회의원 세계태권도연합뉴스 자문위원 추대

세계태권도연합뉴스(이하 WTU)는 지난 11월 국회에서 국기 태권도발전을 위해 고군분투하시는 이동섭 의원(국민의당, 62)을 자문위원으로 추대했다.

이 의원은 국기원 공인 9단으로서 태권도인 들이 다 잘 알고 있듯이 국회에 입성하여 그동안의 궤적을 살펴보면 태권도가 한국 대표적 문화로서 국내외적으로 국가 이미지제고의 기여도 부각과 일부 제도적 문제점 개선을 위해 대국민과 주무관청인 문체부에 기회에 있을 때마다 주창하며 고군분투하였다.

태권도발전을 위해 지난 9월1일 현역의원 75명을 회원으로 가입한(현재 80명) 헌정 사상 최초의 국회등록법인 연맹 “국회의원 태권도연맹”을 창설하여 출범시켰다. 이의원의 창설취지는 국기 태권도의 중요성을 국회차원에서 인식하고 정책적으로 태권도의 진흥과 세계화의 지속적인 발전을 위해 태권도의 육성 및 지원 정책을 마련하고, 태권도 관련 단체 간 화합 등을 도모로 태권도 제2부흥을 위함이다.

또한 이의원은 각 국가별 의원들을 연맹회원으로 영입하여 국회의원 태권도연맹을 국제적인 연맹으로 발전시키어 태권도의 가치를 알리고 올림픽 영구종목 존속을 이끌어 내고 외교부를 통해 상파울, 파나마, 코스타리카, 오스트리아, 스위스대사관을 방문하여 대사배 태권도대회 개최를 요청한 상태다. 향후에는 더 많은 나라를 방문하여 더욱 적극적인 행보를 진행한다는 복안이다.

실지 이의원은 이런 사안들을 구체적으로 실현하기 위한 내년 1월 13~20일(잠정계획) 워싱턴, 뉴욕, 멕시코를 몇 명의 국회의원들과 국회태권도연맹 시범단 25명 등을 동행해 순방하여 각국 상하의원, 방문국 사범들과 IOC위원들을 만난다. 현재 IOC위원인 북한의 장웅, 싱가폴, 그레이스딩, 일본, 중, 남아공, 브라질 등 9명의 관계자들과 만남의 시간을 외교부와 당사자들과 협의중인 상태다.

한편 WTU는 이의원을 포함한 기존 태권도계 명사 20명의 자문위원단의 의견을 진중하게 존중하고 취합하여 직필정론지로서의 책무에 더욱더 정진할 것이다.
