On April 24th, the Department of Taekwondo (Professor Jung- wook Yoon) at Woosuk University and the Chinese Great Artists (CEOTong yeong kang) signed a business agreement for sports education and the promotion of athletes, the globalization of taekwondo and exchange and cooperation through creative economic value.

The department of taekwondo at Woosuk University, through the business agreement, will operate 60 taekwondo academies (about 5,000 trainees) in 22 provinces in China.

- Academic exchange on taekwondo skills and methods of guidance,.

- Mutual exchange of domestic and foreign taekwondo information - joint research forthe development of international events and performances.

- Attracting students from the taekwondo department of Woosuk University.

- dispatch of local taekwondo interns.

"We will provide every support to foster and discover more talented sports talent in our home country, and to help develop taekwondo and further revitalize the economy as a result of attracting foreign tourists," said Jung-wook Yoon, head of the taekwondo department, after the signing ceremony.

Iat Woosuk University, taekwondo and characterization in their business at the field and art taekwondo are hosted by South Korea's first provincial university in the Ministry of Education in case selected by the Agency. DEMO team has shown performances such as ‘Empress Myeongseong’, ‘Taekwon Monkey’, ‘ghost’, and 2007 in taekwondo from ab earkt taekwondo at home and abroad, such as theatrical performances of the see and showing great resonance. In particular, the last four years, national Taekwondo academy , Muju-gun, was sent a delegation of officials to (tpf) and therefore also performed. It is also Korea's leading player in revitalizing the sport by holding the national taekwondo competition for the first time in 2003 approved by the Korea Taekwondo Association (KTA).

지난 24일 우석대학교 태권도학과(학과장 윤정욱)와 중국 태상 연예인스포츠발전유한공사(대표 통영강)가 스포츠 교육 및 체육인의 육성 그리고 태권도 세계화와 창조경제적 가치를 통한 교류협력을 위한 업무협약을 체결하였다.

우석대 태권도학과는 이번 업무협약을 통해 중국내 22개 성에 60개의 회원도장(수련생 5천 여명)을 운영하는 태상연예인스포츠발전유한공사와 향후

- 태권도 기술 및 지도 방법에 대한 학술 교류,

- 국내외 태권도정보 상호교환,- 국제적 행사 및 공연 개발을 위한 공동연구,

- 우석대학교 태권도학과의 유학생 유치,

- 현지 태권도 인턴사범 파견 등이다.

이번 업무협약식을 마치고 윤정욱 태권도학과장은 “태권도 모국인 우리나라에서 더욱 유능한 스포츠 인재를 육성 및 발굴하고 아울러 태권도의 발전과 더 나아가 해외 관광객들의 유치로 인한 경제 활성화까지의 이끌어 내기 위해 모든 지원을 아끼지 않겠다.”고 포부를 밝혔다.

한편 우석대학교 태권도학과는 교육부에서 주관하는 대한민국 최초의 지방대학 태권도특성화사업단으로 예체능 분야에 우수사례 사업단으로 선정된 바 있으며, 지난 2007년부터 태권도 시범공연 ‘명성황후’, ‘태권몽키’, ‘유령’ 등의 국내외 태권도 공연작품을 선보여 큰 반향을 보이고 있으며 특히 지난 4년간 무주군 국립 태권도원(TPF)에 시범단을 파견하여 공연을 펼치기도 했다. 또한 우리나라에서 2003년도 최초로 대한민국태권도협회(KTA)가 공인하는 우석대 총장기 전국태권도품새대회를 개최하며 품새 경기 활성화에 선두 주자이기도 하다.
