World Children Sport Committee (WorldCSC) has opened its first domestic branch in Jeju Island. The signing ceremony was held on the 21STof November 7pm at the Jeju Branch office, attended by officials of the WorldCSC, Jeju Branch Office Member and other Taekwondo officials. 

The Jeju Branch office President is Mr. Moon Sung-Kyu. He served as the former President of the Jeju Taekwondo Association and is currently the Chairman of the Federation of Hygienic Organisations.

The Jeju Branch office Chairman, Moon Sung-kyu said, "We are delighted and honored to establish the WorldCSC’s first domestic branch in Jeju, Korea. We will do our best to become a branch that encompasses not only but also sports as a whole. Like the vision of the World Children Sport Committee, we will create domestic and international competitions for children in Jeju Island."

WorldCSC President Mr. Seo Hyun-Suk said, "We are delighted to establish a branch in Korea for the first time. We will focus more and more passion to grow into a global organization. In addition, We will hold the 2020 World Children Sports Games and Children Sports International Conference next year to help children around the world and create a venue for harmony through sports"

사단법인 세계어린이스포츠위원회(CSC)위원장 서현석, 이하 ‘위원회’)는 국내 1호 지부가 제주도에 설립됐다.

위원회는 21일(목) 오후 7시, 제주특별자치도 위생단체연합회 사무실에서 제주지부 및 위원회 관계자들이 참석한 가운데 열렸다.

제주지부장은 문성규 씨가 맡았다. 문 지부장은 전 제주특별자치도태권도협회장을 역임했으며, 현재 제주특별자치도 위생단체 연합회장 등을 맡고 있다.

문성규 제주지부장은 “국내 첫 지부를 제주에 설립하게 되어 기쁘게 생각하며, 태권도 뿐 만 아니라 스포츠 전반을 아우르는 지부가 되도록 최선을 다하고, 위원회 비전과 같이 제주도에 어린이가 참여할 수 있는 국내대회와 국제대회를 만들겠다”고 소감을 말했다.

위원회 서현석 위원장은 “해외지부와 국내지부를 동시에 설립함에 있어 국내 첫 지부를 제주도에 설립하게 되어 기쁘고, 앞으로 글로벌 단체로 성장하기 위해 더욱더 열정을 쏟을 것이다.또한, 내년에 2020세계어린이스포츠게임(World Children Sports Games)과 어린이 스포츠 국제회의(Children Sports International Conference)를 개최하여 전 세계 어린이들이 스포츠를 통한 화합의 장을 만들 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 포부를 밝혔다.
