Day 3 – Report
Local athletes managed to make it to the top of the medal count at Egypt Open 2017 after winning 2 gold medals on Saturday and 1 more on Sunday to combine for a total of 4 titles in the event. Two more African countries, such as Ivory Coast and Tunisia, were able to grab more than 1 title with 2 golds. Germany, Croatia, Gabon, Italy, Morocco, Belgium, France and Austria took 1 gold each to complete the 16 Senior divisions in competition.
The makers of the Egyptian success at home were: Nour Abdelsalam, who proved to be the strongest in Women’s -49 kg after beating Al Halwani from Italya by a comfortable 22-9 for the gold; Seif Eissa, who reigned in Men’s -74 kg after defeating Nkoy from Congo by 17-8 in the final; Mohamed Ayman, who climbed to the top of the Men’s +87 kg podium after getting rid of Anthony Obame from Gabon by 14-10; and Moaz Nabil, who shone over the rest in Men’s -54 kg after edging Rapsomanikis from Greece by a clear 22-6 in the last match of the draw.

Day 1 – Report
Ivory Coast with 2 golds was the only country to grab more than 1 title after the first day of action was completed at Egypt Open 2017. Tunisia, Egypt, Belgium and France were the other nations to climb to the top of the podium with 1 gold medal each.
The makers of this successful day for Ivory Coast were: Mamina Koné, who reigned in Women’s -73 kg after defeating local Farouk by a clear 8-1 in the big final; and Seydou Gbane, who tasted glory in Men’s -87 kg after comfortably getting rid of Milani from Italy by 13-4.
