The World Sport Committee (WorldSC President Seo Hyun-suk, hereinafter referred to as the 'Headquarters') established the World Bodybuilding Committee (WorldBBC Chairman Lim Jae-young, hereinafter referred to as the 'Committee'), an affiliated organization of 23.

The signing ceremony was held at 6 p.m. on the 19th (Saturday) at the LevelUp Fitness Center in Guri City. At the headquarters, President Seo Hyun-suk, Vice President Park Chan-woo and Secretary-General Kim Hoon-ki attended, and at the committee, Chairman Lim Jae-young, Chairman Moon-ki and executives attended.

President Seo Hyun-suk said in a greeting, "Bodybuilding is a sport with the characteristics of performing arts that builds aesthetic muscles and evaluates them. I sincerely congratulate the founding of the World Bodybuilding Committee, and I am happy to join the headquarters as the 23rd affiliated organization. In the future, we will work together to create a place where the headquarters and the committee can grow together, and we promise to actively cooperate with the headquarters."

Chairman Lim Jae-young, who headed the committee, said, "I am honored to have established the World Bodybuilding Committee like this. I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to the executive department of the World Sport Committee for approving its membership as an affiliated organization at the headquarters. Currently, the committee has finished organizing, and there are many things that have been prepared to make a leap into a global organization. We will cooperate with the headquarters to show you a rapid growth," he said.

The committee is planning a national bodybuilding competition in the second half of the year, and plans to form a federation to continue its broader move.

사단법인 세계스포츠위원회(WorldSC 위원장 서현석, 이하 ‘본부’)는 23호 산하단체인 세계보디빌딩위원회(WorldBBC 회장 임재영, 이하 ‘위원회’)를 창립했다.

체결식은 지난 19일(토) 오후 6시에 구리시에 위치한 레벨업휘트니스센터 강의실에서 개최되었다. 본부에서는 서현석 위원장과 박찬우 부위원장, 김훈기 사무총장이 참석했고, 위원회에서는 임재영 회장, 정문기 이사장, 임원들이 참석한 가운데 거행됐다.

서현석 위원장은 인사말에서 “보디빌딩은 미적 근육을 가꾸고 이를 평가하는 공연예술성 성격을 가진 스포츠다. 세계보디빌딩위원회 창립을 진심으로 축하하며, 본부에 23번째 산하단체로 가입하게 되어 기쁘게 생각한다. 앞으로 본부와 위원회가 서로 협력하여 동반성장 할 수 있는 장을 만들도록 노력할 것이며, 본부에서도 적극 협력할 것을 약속드린다”고 말했다.       

위원회 수장을 맡게된 임재영 회장은 “세계보디빌딩위원회를 이렇게 창립하게 되어 영광으로 생각한다. 또한 본부에 산하단체로 가입을 승인해준 세계스포츠위원회 집행부에도 진심으로 감사를 드린다. 현재 위원회는 조직 구성 등을 마쳤으며, 글로벌 단체로 도약하기 위해 준비해놓은 것들이 많다. 본부와 협력하여 급성장하는 모습을 보여주겠다”고 당찬 포부를 밝혔다.     

위원회는 전국대회 규모의 보디빌딩 대회를 하반기에 기획중이며, 산하 연맹체를 구성하여 폭  넓은 행보를 이어갈 계획이다.
