In accordance with 「Article 14(Election Day) of the ACT ON ELECTIONS ENTRUSTED BY PUBLIC ORGANIZATIONS」 the election date and related matters for the 2025 Kukkiwon Presidential Election (to be held on September 19, 2025) are hereby announced.

3. Electors: Electors as defined in Article 10(Election of President) of 「Articles of Association of Kukkiwon」

4. Candidate Registration Period: Monday, September 8, 2025 to Tuesday, September 9, 2025 Daily from 09:00 to 18:00 (KST)

5. Candidate Registration Venue: Main Conference Room, 3rd Floor, Gangnam-gu Election Commission

6. Election Campaign(Supervised and managed by the Kukkiwon Election Management Committee)

A. Entities Permitted to Campaign: Candidates and campaign staff

B. Campaign Period: From Wednesday, September 10 to Thursday, September 18, 2025 (9 days)

C. Methods of Campaigning:

By telephone, including sending text messages, and by email

By distributing business cards (maximum size: 9 cm x 5 cm) to solicit support

By uploading pre-recorded videos (e.g., statements of opinion) on the Kukkiwon website

By participating in the candidate policy debate hosted by the Kukkiwon Election Management Committee and making statements therein

7. Electing and Ballot Counting Method and Time: Online election and ballot counting via web (smartphone or PC), Time: 06:00 to 18:00 (KST)

8. Precautions Regarding Online Voting

If the sender's phone number (02-3679-1390) or email address (help@kvoting.go.kr) is blocked, or if a spam-blocking application is used that filters out messages containing keywords such as "URL" or "election," the voter may not receive the voting notification message (or email, in the case of overseas voters).

국기원장 선거(이하 원장선거)가 2025년 9월 19일 실시된다.

원장선거를 위탁받은 강남구선거관리위원회는 지난 7월 31일 국기원 누리집을 통해 선거일 등을 공고했다.

이번 원장선거는 국내외 심사추천권자의 무작위 선정 비율을 10%에서 20%로 변경, 선거인을 크게 확대한 바 있어 해외에 거주하고 있는 선거인이 입국하기 어려운 상황 등을 고려해 온라인투표 방식으로 치러진다.

후보자등록은 2025년 9월 8일과 9일 양일간 매일 오전 9시부터 오후 6시까지 강남구선거관리위원회(서울특별시 강남구 선릉로 573) 대회의실에서 받는다.

선거운동 기간은 2025년 9월 10일부터 18일까지 9일간으로 선거운동의 주체는 후보자 본인과 선거사무원이다.

선거운동 방법은 전화, 문자메시지(그림말, 음성·화상, 동영상 등), 정보통신망(전자우편, SNS 등), 명함 배부, 후보자 소개 및 소견발표 녹화영상(국기원장 선거 누리집 게재), 국기원선거관리위원회가 주최하는 후보자 정책토론회 참석이 있다.

후보자 소개 및 소견발표 녹화영상은 후보자가 10분 이내로 제작해 자기소개서와 함께 후보자등록 마감일 후 4일 이내에 제출해야 한다.
