World Children Sport Committee(President Hyun Suk SEO, “WorldCSC”) hosts and unveil its magnificent stage for 2020 Seoul Cup Online International Open Children Taekwondo Championships at Kukkiwon for two days from 21 November to 22 November.
For this event, as many as 2300 participants from 34 countries across the world will join. The size of overseas participants is 1,266.
The first Seoul Cup which will be hosted by the Seoul Cup organizing committee will be conducted online due to COVID-19 and the opening ceremony will be held online on the 21, Saturday. The ceremony will be proceeded in the order of the Opening Speech of Organizing Committee President Hyun Suk SEO, Congratulatory message of Seoul Sports Council President Won Hah PARK and National Assembly Taekwondo Federation President Dong Sup LEE, the entrance of attending countries, the oath of referee, the oath of athlete, the Celebratory performance of Team Nolja.
Hyun Suk SEO, President of the organizing committee offered his wholehearted words of gratitude that the first event organized by the World Children Sport Committee became such a grand event all thanks to the enthusiasm shown by family members of Taekwondo as well as many participating countries. He added that in 2021, he hopes that the Seoul Cup event can be held offline next year with the eradication of COVID-19.
The President offered his profound gratitude to President Dong Sub LEE of National Assembly Taekwondo Federation and President Won Hah PARK of Seoul Sports Council (SSC) and staff members for doing their best efforts for successful hosting of the event. He said that through this event, it would serve as a catalyst to expand the foundation of sports for all along with promoting professional sports.
The Seoul Cup is scheduled to be carried out with Gyeokpa and Poomsae, Color Belts Poomsae, Freestyle poomsae which will be broadcast live on YouTube.
사단법인 세계어린이스포츠위원회(위원장 서현석, 이하 ‘위원회’)가 2020서울컵 온라인 국제오픈어린이태권도대회(이하 ‘서울컵’)를 11월 21일부터 22일 양일간 국기원에서 그 화려한 막을 연다.
이번 대회 참가인원은 세계 34개국 2300여명으로 확정됐다. 해외 참가자 규모는 1266명이다.
서울컵 조직위원회는 올해 첫 대회를 개최하는 서울컵은 코로나19로 인해 온라인대회로 치러지며, 21일에는 온라인개막식이 진행될 예정이다. 개막식은 서현석 조직위원장 대회사, 박원하 서울특별시체육회장 축사, 이동섭 국회의원태권도연맹 회장 축사를 비롯 참가국 입장, 심판선서, 선수선서, 놀자팀 축하공연이 이루어질 예정이다.
조직위원장을 맡은 서현석 위원장은“세계어린이스포츠위원회가 처음으로 주최하는 첫 대회인 만큼 이렇게 성대하게 치러질 수 있었던 것은 많은 참가국과 태권도 가족분들 덕분이라고 생각하고 진심으로 감사의 말씀을 드리며 내년에는 코로나가 종식이 되어 2021 서울컵 대회가 오프라인으로 열리기를 기원한다”고 말했고“본 대회를 성원해주신 국회의원태권도연맹 이동섭 회장님과 서울특별시체육회 박원하 회장님께 깊은 감사의 말씀을 드리며, 대회 개최를 위해 최선을 다해 준비한 팀원들 노고의 감사를 전했다. 이번 대회를 통하여 생활체육의 저변확대와 더불어 전문체육 육성의 초석이 되길 희망한다”고 밝혔다.
한편, 서울컵은 공인품새, 띠별품새, 자유품새와 격파종목을 온라인으로 진행할 예정이며 유튜브 생방송으로 실시간 방송할 예정이다.
