Hosted by the World Sports Commission (President Seo Hyeon-suk, hereinafter referred to as the "Committee"), the '2024 WORLDDSC CUP National Sports Taekwondo Competition and National Sports Jumping Competition' May 18th and 19thorganized by the WORLDDSC CUP Organizing Committee and the World Children's Sports Commission was held at the indoor gymnasium of the Yichung Culture and Sports Center in Pyeongtaek with more than 2,000 people participating.
The WORLDDSC CUP competition held in Pyeongtaek was held by alumni of the Taekwondo department at Kyungmun University (currently International University), and President Seo Hyeon-suk, the organizing committee chairman, served as Taekwondo coach at the time. Alumni, including Chairman Kim Hoon-ki, Chairman Kim Yong-hwan, Chairman of the Records Committee, Chairman Lee Man-kyu, Chairman of the Steering Committee, and Chairman of the Referee Yang Seung-hoon, have united to imprint the concept of daily sports to revitalize the painting, and will hold the competition every year to sublimate it into a high-quality daily sports Taekwondo competition, and furthermore, an international open Taekwondo competition will be planned.
As the first day of the Taekwondo competition, events were organized in the concepts of daily sports such as competition, competition by belt, pumsae, pumsae by belt, and hand-flying wave. The second day of the jump rope competition included individual speed events such as two-legged collection jump, alternating jump, double jump, triple jump, and triple jump, and two-in speed relay, four-in speed relay, eight-way marathon, and group music jump rope. In particular, it introduced a two-man speed relay, which was the first in a jump rope, and received great response. In celebration of the Year of the Blue Dragon as a prototype, the Tarang Trophy and the Jultang Trophy, symbolizing medals and committee characters, were very popular.

The taekwondo team's performance was won by Kyung Hee University's Seoksa the Great Taekwondo Headquarters, the overall runner-up KG Taekwondo Headquarters, and Kyung Hee University's Geumho Taekwondo Headquarters, while the competition was won by Pyeongtaek MTA Taekwondo, the elementary school's overall winner, Yongin University's overall winner, and Yongin University's overall champion, Yongin University's third-place overall winner. Kyung Hee University's Kanghyun Taekwondo, the overall runner-up, was won by the World Taekwondo Academy, the overall runner-up Dankook Daerai Ion Taekwondo Headquarters, and the third-place MTA Taekwondo Headquarters.
The jump rope competition was won by Hyeonchon Power Jumping Club, Power Jumping Dongtan Branch, which won the overall second place, and Osan Power Jumping won the third place overall.
In the future, the committee will recruit and dispatch Korean athletes to the 11th China Cheongdo Open Korea-China Taekwondo Competition to be held in August in Cheongdo, China, and also hold the 2024 Seoul Cup International Open Taekwondo Competition in September.

사단법인 세계스포츠위원회(위원장 서현석, 이하 ‘위원회’)가 주최하고 WORLDSC CUP 조직위원회와 세계어린이스포츠위원회가 주관한 ‘2024 WORLDSC CUP 전국생활체육태권도대회 및 전국생활체육줄넘기대회’가 평택 이충문화체육센터 실내체육관에서 2,000여명이 참여한 가운데 대성황리에 개최됐다.
이번 평택에서 열린 WORLDSC CUP대회는 경문대학(현 국제대학교) 태권도부 동문들이 모여 개최한 대회로 조직위원장인 서현석 위원장이 당시 태권도 코치로 활동을 했었다. 경기위원장을 맡은 김훈기 위원장, 김용환 기록위원장, 이만규 운영위원장, 양승훈 심판담당위원장 등 동문들이 하나로 뭉쳐 도장활성화를 위한 생활체육 개념에 태권도대회로 각인시켰으며, 매년 이 대회를 개최하여 고품격 생활체육 태권도대회로 승화시킬 예정이며, 더 나아가 국제오픈태권도대회도 계획할 예정이다.
1일차 태권도대회 종목으로 겨루기, 띠별겨루기, 품새, 띠별품새, 손날격파 등 생활체육 개념에 종목을 편성하였고, 2일차 줄넘기대회는 양발모아뛰기, 번갈아뛰기, 2중뛰기, 3중뛰기 개인 스피드 종목과 2인스피드릴레이, 4인스피드릴레이, 8자마라톤, 단체 음악줄넘기 등 종목을 편성하였다. 특히 줄넘기에서 처음있는 2인 스피드릴레이를 도입해 큰 호응을 얻었다. 시상품으로 청룡의 해를 맞아 용모양에 메달과 위원회 캐릭터를 상징으로 한 태랑이트로피와 줄랑이트로피가 큰 인기를 끌었다.
위원회 서현석 위원장은 “본 대회에 선수, 지도자, 부모님들께서 많은 관심과 참가로 성황리에 대회를 마무리할 수 있었다. 다시 한번 감사의 인사를 드리고 싶다. 그리고 처음부터 이 대회를 위해 기획부터 경기운영까지 경문대학 제자들에게 깊은 감사의 인사를 전하고 싶다. 앞으로 더 좋은 대회, 더 좋은 모습으로 찾아올 것이며, 선수들을 위한 대회로 자리매김 할 수 있도록 최선을 다해 노력할 것이다. 마지막으로 성공적인 대회를 위해 애써주신 평택시태권도협회, 세계스포츠위원회 임원 및 국제심판위원회, 경기위원회, 시상위원회, 운영요원분들에게 다시한번 감사의 인사를 드린다.”고 전했다.
태권도 단체 성적은 품새부분 종합우승 경희대석사대왕태권도장, 종합준우승 KG태권짐, 종합 3위 경희대금호태권도장이 차지했으며, 겨루기 부분은 초등부 종합우승 평택MTA태권도, 종합준우승 용인대키즈태권도, 종합 3위 용인대무궁화태권도장이 중등부 종합우승 용인대키즈태권도. 종합준우승 경희대강현태권도, 종합 3위 월드태권아카데미가 차지했고, 마지막 고등부는 종합우승 월드태권아카데미, 종합준우승 단국대라이온태권도장, 종합 3위 MTA태권도장이 수상의 영예를 안았다.
줄넘기대회는 종합우승 현촌파워점핑클럽, 종합준우승 파워점핑동탄본점, 종합 3위는 오산파워점핑이 수상했다.
위원회는 앞으로 중국 청도에서 8월에 개최되는 제11회 중국 청도오픈 한중태권도대회에 한국대표 선수단 모집해 파견할 예정이고, 또한 2024 서울컵 국제오픈태권도대회를 9월에 개최할 예정이다.
